Quinta Funderburk (6’5, 204) of Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake, VA has trimmed his list. The highly recruited wideout has twenty-six offers from D-1 schools, but has recently narrowed that list down to five programs. The schools that made his top five are West Virginia, Florida, Arkansas, Penn State, and Michigan. Eric Frohnapfel picked the Mountaineers over the Virginia Cavaliers last night. He is a 6’6, 210 pound tight end from Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, VA. Rivals lists him as a 3-star and the 17th ranked player in the talent-rich state of Virginia. As a junior Eric had 30 catches for 736 yards and 10 touchdowns. A couple weeks ago, the Gold and Blue Zone reported on the offering of a scholarship to Delray Beach, FL wide receiver Ezekiel Turner. Rumor has it that he is ready to commit. Tre Mason, from Park Vista High School in Boynton Beach, FL, is very high on West Virginia according to Luke Stampini of soflafootball.com. Mason is a 5’10, 190 pound running back. Shaun Ward decommits; now considering WVU

Shaun Ward is a 6’2, 225 pound linebacker from Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. He is rated as the 39th best linebacker in the country by Rivals. He originally committed to Maryland, but has now re-opened his recruitment. It has been reported that Ward did not have many offers early so he committed to Maryland. He has now decided he wants to look around after receiving interest from several other schools.
