West Virginia recently sent out a scholarship offer to Myles Nash of Timber Creek High School in Sicklerville, NJ. The 6-foot-5, 205 pounder also holds offers from Boston College, Kentucky, Purdue, Rutgers, Virginia, and several others. Nash is a very versatile football player that has played several different positions at the high school level. He’s lined up at quarterback, wide receiver, tight end, defensive end, and linebacker. He could play potentially play a number of different positions at the college level too, but West Virginia...

Truck Bryant and Kevin Jones will be playing their final game at the WVU Coliseum on Tuesday night

It’s must win time for West Virginia. If WVU has any post-season plans that include the NCAA Tournament, they absolutely need to win their final two regular season contests, and the first of those two games is tonight. The Mountaineers (17-12, 7-9 Big East) will host the DePaul Blue Demons (11-17, 2-14) on Tuesday for Senior Night at the WVU Coliseum. DePaul comes into Morgantown off of a 73-71 loss to Providence on Saturday and is in a stretch where they have lost 8-straight...

Bruce Irvin Impresses at NFL Combine

WVU defensive end Bruce Irvin should be shooting up several NFL teams’ draft boards after his performance at the NFL Combine on Monday morning. Irvin measured in at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, and ran a blazing 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. That was the fastest time of any defensive lineman or linebacker. He did 23 reps at 225 pounds in the bench press, and had a 33.5 inch vertical leap. Irvin worked out with the defensive linemen, and was by far the most athletic in...

Da'Sean Butler (right) celebrates with teammates after hitting a three-pointer to defeat Marquette in 2009

Coming off of an embarrassing 27-point loss at Notre Dame on Wednesday, it’s a quick turn around for the Mountaineers as West Virginia (17-11, 7-8 Big East) will host the No. 10 Marquette Golden Eagles (23-5, 12-3) on Friday. Even with the blowout loss to Notre Dame, West Virginia seems in decent standing to make it to the NCAA Tournament this season, barring a complete collapse. WVU Head Coach Bob Huggins has said all season long that he believes the team will need nine...
