Najee Goode Inks Deal With Bucs

Former WVU linebacker Najee Goode has signed a four-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Goode was drafted in the fifth round as the 140th overall pick, and recently took part in the Bucs rookie mini-camp. He is being looked at as a middle or strong side linebacker in Tampa’s defensive scheme. Goode was a versatile player that played all of the linebacker positions during his time at West Virginia. The middle of the WVU 3-3-5 defense will have a different look this season. Gone are names like Thomas, Leonard, and Lazear who all saw significant playing time during their time in Morgantown. West Virginia picked up another big commitment today from Tony Matteo. The 6’5, 280-pound offensive center from Akron, Ohio is a physical kid that plays with a nasty streak. It appears that Matteo’s strong relationship with Mountaineer Offensive Line Coach Bill Bedenbaugh had a lot to do with his decision to commit to WVU.
