Former WVU fullback Owen Schmitt has signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders announced the signing after holding a workout with the former Mountaineer on Tuesday. Rack up another conference championship for a WVU sports team. The WVU Gymnastics team, under the direction of first-year head coach Jason Butts, won the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) championship on Saturday night in Pittsburgh. The Mountaineers (21-5, 12-1) scored a season-best 196.475 to win its seventh all-time league championship in their final year as a member of the EAGL.
