West Virginia picked up a verbal commitment today from Hodari Christian, a 6’1″, 215 pound linebacker from McKeesport, PA. Christian, a 3-star prospect according to Rivals.com, chose the Mountaineers over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse and others. Bruce Irvin Signs Contract with Seahawks

According to WV MetroNews, former West Virginia defensive end and first round NFL draft pick Bruce Irvin has reached an agreement with the Seattle Seahawks. The contract is reported to be a four-year deal worth $9.34 million with a team option for a fifth year. If the fifth-year option is exercised, in 2016 Irvin will be paid the average salary of the third through the twenty-fifth highest paid defensive ends in the NFL It’s also being reported that Irvin was rewarded a $5 million signing bonus....

Just a couple days after the Big 12 named a new commissioner, the Big East is now losing theirs and will have to begin to search for a replacement. John Marinatto resigned on Monday.
